This is week two in our coverage of our new restaurant concept coming to life. We’re still in the rough stages of construction but shapes are beginning to take form, holes are being patched up and the overall layout is starting to present itself. For the most seasoned of restaurateurs this is always an exciting and nerve-racking period as all the elements – from interior design to chinaware selection – come together piece by piece.
The open kitchen is ready and waiting for its equipment. Just think – in the not-so-distant-future a plate of glorious seafood with your name on it will be prepared here and ushered forth… or will it be steak?
Holes in the ceiling? Check it off the list…
Decisions, decisions. The big wigs discuss important matters…
Where to put the lamp…
The sun shines down upon us and our project.
We’ll take that as a good sign.
Okay, so it’s not as mind-blowing as Avatar, but it is taking on 3D form! Come back and visit next week. If we’re on schedule (no guarantees in this business) you’ll begin to see the interior design finishings come together and we’ll give you a couple juicy details of what you might find yourself tucking into at Downstairs with David Laris.
